EverQuest 2 Ranger Guide-Character Creation and Customization

When creating your character you are able to customize its appearance fairly heavily.
This will not affect you in any way except in that each race starts with different stats.
These stats won’t affect your character significantly when you are level 50 with level 50
gear, but as you’re leveling up you may find those small stat additions helpful. In addition
each character is able to choose bonus traits every few levels, and the selection of bonus
traits you have to choose from is based on your race.
There’s no need to worry too much about starting stats and bonus traits. It’s not really
possible to choose the “wrong” race for a scout class and I suggest you choose whatever
race you think you will enjoy playing and looking at. The same can be said of all the
customization options you will receive throughout your career as a ranger. Traits and
skills won’t make or break your character, so don’t worry about your choices – while I will
make recommendations for many of these based on my own experiences, there is no real
“right” or “wrong” choice for any trait and choosing what you’ll have the most fun with is
always the best way to go.
